Dr. Urko Zurutuza
Dr. Urko Zurutuza is the Manager of the Telematics Research Group at
Mondragon University's department of Computer and Electronics.
He is responsible for coordinating the research activities in the fields of Information and Communication Security, and the application of Data Analytics techniques to solve real world problems (Industry Processes, Social Media Analysis, e-Learning Environments,...). Currently, Urko is the principal Coordinator of the MANTIS European project related to Proactive Maintenance, composed of 47 partners and an overall budget bigger than 30M€. He has participated in 20+ public funding research projects, authored 30+ publications, and has been member of 40+ conference program committees. He has coordinated research projects at regional, national and European levels, and has experience in FP6, FP7, ECSEL and Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) Joint Programmes.
